Me and my girlfriend are semi long distance and since we can’t exactly hang out 24/7 we talk online. Sometimes we play games, listen to music, or even just talk, but the main thing we do is play video games together. Most of the times we play co-op games since we both suck at online games but we decided to hop on Fortnite. We joined the squad game mode which paired us with some random dudes.
One of the guys was completely silent and only communicated through emotes but the other guy was in VC and he was loud. He hops on says go to this location and my girlfriend says “can we go here” and he goes “oh shit a chick.” He proceeds to talk down to her and explain that he “knows what he’s doing.”
Thoughout the whole game he’s pretty much exclusively talking to her. He exclusively referred to her as little lady and refuses to call her anything else, not that she told him off. The hottest part for me was definitely her not telling him off and interacting with him. A specific highlight was definitely when she asked if green or blue was better and he said “It’s obviously blue laugh you’re not very smart are ya.” and she responded “Thank you.”
To be fair he carried us to a win as we constantly got downed so for being a sexist dick he did have the skills to back it up so I can’t be too mad. Than again he’s talking down to her about Fortnite so it’s not like he earned the right to be a dick.
I got a friend request from the silent player and added them back so the story has a happy ending. Then again my girlfriend also got a friend request from the guy so maybe not lol.
