Fantasy turned real [true story]

I’ve read a few of the stories that others have posted and I thought I’d share mine from a few years ago.

For context we are still married, although it took a lot of work afterwards. I’ve always had a cuckold fantasy or a sharing fantasy probably bought on by watching many cuckold videos over the years and loved the thought of it happening to me. I thought I’d really enjoy the thought of her being with another man or even watching her with another man. Me (38m) my wife (37f) have been together over 15 years and I’ve always enjoyed seeing other guys giving her attention or checking her out and I’ve often encouraged her to be flirty or wear more revealing outfits. I started picking up that one of her colleagues was clearly, as a male, was giving her more attention than the other woman she worked with, although she didn’t believe it at the time and she started talking about him or things that involved him more and more frequently. Every now and then they would all go out and have drinks after work and I’d pick up on things she’d tell me about this guy who was clearly interested in her. I did encourage her gently to go out more and wear something sexy too. I noticed that they were messaging each other more and more, less of it work related and just general chat. She was invited to a birthday party for one of her female work colleagues, drinks and a night at a hotel which wasn’t unusual, as many of the women were happy for a night away from their children. And I heard that this guy would be there to along with a couple of other male colleagues. I didn’t get many messages from her that evening, usually she’d check in, moaning that she was bored but this night I didn’t receive those usual messages. I did get one when she had got back to her room after midnight to say she was okay and goodnight. When she came home the next day she didn’t seem herself, although she had a good night with her friends something seemed off. Eventually after asking a few times and she admitted that he had kissed her and she didn’t tell him to stop. She said it wasn’t a long kiss and no one saw them but she kissed him back. I didn’t know what to think, I was shocked and a bit taken aback by what she said. But seeing her being upset I knew she didn’t like herself for it and regretted it. The messages between them both had pretty much stopped and she didn’t bring him up all that much again. A few months later she was invited out for another birthday night out for drinks and she told me she would be staying at one of her friends house that night. I got on we’ll with this friend, has even helped do some repairs around her house as she was a single mom. I help my wife pack her things for the night, make sure she’s got a great outfit and persuade her to wear some sexy underwear which she was a bit reluctant too at first but agreed in the end. Again I didn’t get any messages from her that evening about how she is and only get a message that I see in the morning saying how she’s now back at her friend’s house and going to sleep, this was at 4am. She gets home at lunchtime and looks completely exhausted and although she says she didn’t drink too much, which she never really does, you can see she had been up all night and we were in for a lazy afternoon! I make her a cup of tea and we sit on the sofa and we start talking about her night, what she had to drink, what they did and so on. It did aound like a great night! She then told me out the blue that she ended up having sex with this male coworker and it was her idea although he didn’t take much persuading. She said they got talking, got a bit bored at this comedy event and went for a walk. They decided to just go back to her friends house and hang out there, which then quickly turned into her kissing him and then then going upstairs. I was shocked, truly shocked! She said instantly afterwards that she regretted it but at the time it was something she wanted to do, let her hair down and just have fun. I didn’t know what to say, because how I felt about the “fantasy” this was not the feeling I was having! She did tell me the details and looking back now I do find it a turn on but the fantasy isn’t the same anymore and it did very almost ruin what we have.
