After Lin and Jimmy finished college they settled into a normal, ordinary life. He work in an office and love to spend time with his girlfriend Lin.

Since their project will take at least couple of months and be sporadic in work sometimes maybe a deal is possible in benefit of everyone. He proposed that in exchange for letting Abe and him stay at our house, they will provide their labour for free as long as we buy the materials for slow renovation of the house.
That way when they have a bit of downtime at work they can help with house remodelling and everyone saves some money. Jimmy was quite excited at the proposal and potential savings to be had.
After talking to Lin she was a bit apprehensive at having 2 guys she doesn’t really know at her house, but she said it sounds promising and is fine as long as she gets to know them at least a little bit before.
So they organised a FaceTime when everyone were available. Lin got to learn some stories from Jimmy’s childhood from Tyrell and got the general feeling that they can be a bit rowdy and humorous but are overall very nice.
At the end she finally agreed to the Tyrell’s proposal for staying with them.
Couple of weeks later they arrived on Sunday with couple of mattresses, table, drawer and couple of chairs to occupy one of the spare bedrooms. Even though Jimmy wasn’t of much help, he tried his best to help them getting settled while Lin prepared some sandwiches and refreshing lemonade. The rest of the day they used for unpacking and chilling a bit while me and Lin went for a nice walk on a nearby hill.
For the next couple of weeks they were quite busy with their new project, but we found some time to agree on materials we need and the next thing that needs to be changed. We bought the materials for one of the spare not used yet bedrooms and its attached bathroom that needs change of tiles, and sinks, bath, everything basically including a bit of plumbing.
Tyrell and Abe finally got a bit less to work on in their renovation project so they wanted to utilise their time next week to start the work on the bedroom. So on a Sunday before a particular hard working week for me and my friends “work at home” week Lin prepared a big lunch for all of us with enough beers for a chill Sunday afternoon.
After the big Sunday roast the boys were drinking for the next couple of hours and everyone (especially Tyrell) were getting rowdier by the hour.
