Wife didn’t come home last night

Last night my wife went to a work party, for the hospital where there work is based. Our babysitter cancelled so I couldn't go with her. I figured that she had fucked around at work in the past and it had ended badly so she wasn't likely to do it again.

I was exhausted so I went to bed about 10, at 11 I was woken by a phone call my wife telling me that she wasn't going to be home, she had met someone there and was going to spend the night with him.

Apparently he had been at the table next to her not concerend about her wedding ring, and had asked her to dance, they hit it off and he invited her back to his place.

When we were on the phone I heard him in the background "holy shit! you are actually telling your husband? Holy shit!"

I got her to put me on speaker phone, I told him "hey have a good night, I want her home before lunch"

My wife laughing "you're and idiot sometimes, love you."

I replied "love you too, have fun"

Had to explain to the kids this morning that mum had a late night, a few to many drinks and had crashed at a friend's place and would be home later this morning.

Now it's 8 am, I'm wide awake and hoping she comes home soon.
