Went to an out-of-state wedding with my girlfriend as her plus one and shared an Airbnb with several bedrooms with a bunch of her closest friends, all of whom I’d met many times before. One or two knew about the situation, including her best friend, but it wasn’t discussed openly.

The night of the wedding, after the reception and some after partying downtown, my girlfriend, her best friend, and I are laying in bed watching TV. Nothing scandalous, and while I’m not too far gone, I was definitely too inebriated to get hard anyway.

I don’t know how he knew where we were staying or who let him in, but suddenly the tall, hot groomsman that all the girls had been gawking over all night walked in. Made a joke about whatever we were watching. My girlfriend immediately perked up. She’d danced with him some at the reception, just like most of her friends, and the two of them started talking as though the best friend and I weren’t there. Best friend got the hint before I did and left the room to get a drink, and the hot guy took her place in bed on the other side of my girlfriend to “keep it warm.”

I was embarrassingly oblivious, probably because of the alcohol, and only got up when my girlfriend asked me to bring the groomsman some water. That’s when it clicked. I still don’t know whether it was her or him, but one of them immediately shut and locked the bedroom door behind me.

Best friend was waiting for me in the living room, looking mostly amused, but did ask if I was okay. After confirming I was fine and laughing a bit, she asked me if I could blame my girlfriend? Of course I said no, he was a little hotter than me. She laughed again and asked “a little?” Right on cue, slapping noises and my girlfriend’s moaning started coming from the bedroom.

The best friend said something about how everyone had wanted to sleep with the guy, and how jealous the other girls would be of my girlfriend. I was surprised and asked who all knew about my girlfriend fucking other guys. Laughter again as the best friend asked if I thought anyone was sleeping through that, as my girlfriend was literally shouting the groomsman’s name. In reality, I’m sure some of them were, it’s not like she was screaming at the top of her lungs.

But by the time I woke up on the couch, the group chat had done what group chats do, and everyone knew. Groomsman was nice enough to cook a big breakfast for the house, and even offered me some eggs while my girlfriend was in the shower. I’ve probably never turned so red in my life from embarrassment, but everyone was cordial about it.

Groomsman wisely left before my girlfriend came out to eat, and other than some sly smiles and knowing looks, everything went back to normal. A really wild weekend, altogether.
