I recently shared the experience of my wife dating around at the urging of her Chinese best friend. I will post some additional parts based on some of the question I got. In this part, I will provide some background in response to a couple of questions I got about why my wife listened at all to her friend Jenny and that she sounded like a b**ch.

At the time I met my wife, she had freshly gotten out of a 9 year relationship with her first and only BF (Derrick) at the time.
My wife and Derrick were high school sweethearts. They were each others first love, first kiss, first sex, etc. When they graduated high school, they both decided to go to the same local university in the computer science program.
Things began changing for the worse during that time. While my wife always had ambitions of professional success and focussed on her studies in college, Derrick really got into the typical partying lifestyle and ended up flunking out of college.
As my wife graduated and got a high paying job at a tech startup, Derrick continued his laissez-faire lifestyle, all the while promising my wife that he will get his life back on track sooner rather than later. At this time, they also started having a lot of arguments as my wife suspected that Derrick was hooking up with some of the female friends he partied with, even though he continued to deny it.
On the professional front, my wife was loving her job, even though it was very challenging. All developers were constantly expected to do overtime. This led to more arguments as Derrick started accusing my wife of prioritizing her work over him.
Around the same time, Jenny started to take my wife under her wing at work. Jenny was a few years older than my wife and was a well respected senior developer. Due to the sheer amount of time they were spending together at work, they soon became best friends and my wife started leaning on her for emotional support and advice regarding her difficulties with Derrick.
After a particularly nasty argument one night, my wife ended up staying over at Jenny’s place. While she stayed there, Jenny helped my wife see just how toxic and unfaithful Derrick was and encouraged her to move on from him ASAP. Jenny told my wife that she is young, attractive, smart, funny, successful, etc. and that there will be hundreds of men out there who would love to be with a catch such as her. She even made her a profile on a dating app to show just how easily she can match with any man she likes in the city.
Eventually with Jenny’s support and encouragement, my wife broke up with Derrick for good. Jenny continued to support my wife as she moved her things out of Derrick’s apartment and told my wife that she could stay with her rent free for as long as she needs before she finds her own place.
It was during this time, a few weeks after my wife’s breakup with Derrick, that I matched up with my wife on the dating app. Jenny encouraged my wife to make up for lost time and embrace her inner slut. During the last few years of their relationship, my wife and Derrick had a virtually dead bedroom due to the constant arguments, even though their sex life in the beginning was amazing and is something that my wife has always sought to recapture.
Beginning from the next part, I will start detailing some of the juicer details of her sex life during our non-exclusive phase as recounted by her in subsequent years.
