My brother’s son has come to live with us while he’s in college. We live really close to the university he’s attending so it’ll help him save a ton of money on housing. Plus, we’re cooler than his parents so we’ll give him his freedom to go out and bring a girlfriend home or whatever.
He and my wife have always been close. They just latched onto each other and have always gotten along at any stage of his life. When he was young, she’d ride bikes with him. When he got older, they’d play video games together. When he got a phone, they started texting constantly.
There’s been a few times that it’s felt weird since he moved in. They still play fight with each other. I’ve told her it’s probably not as innocent as it once was since he’s a man now. She thinks it’s harmless and says it’s just play. He seems pretty reserved and doesn’t overtly grab handfuls of her, but there’s still moments when things look too suggestive.
They also don’t have boundaries where I think they should. If they’re con the couch together, they’ll share a blanket. They also share drinks together and food off of each other’s plates.
I confronted her about it after this weekend after we opened our pool up and she had him rub sunscreen on her. She untied her top and laid face down while he rubbed it on her back. She rolls her eyes and says it’s just harmless and he’ll be busy with school soon.
I know there’s something there. She’s very sexual and flirty so it’s only a matter of time until she lets that slip just to get a taste and then I know she’s not going to want to stop. Plus, self control has never been her strength. She’s not very disciplined and can be impulsive so I can’t count on her to show restraint if her lizard brain decides it wants him.
